He also sometimes peed on them. Needless to say they did not survive a summer with him running loose and we had to dig them up and throw them away. I decided not to loose more shrubs, he was very friendly by the way.....I got a gift bag and very nicely picked up his calling cards, deposited them in the bag and then on my walk with MY dog on a leash and NOT peeing and pooping in their yard, I put a tag said something to the extent that we had enough organic fertilizer for our yard, and thanks so much for sharing but it was not needed nor wanted. I also signed my name. They laughed about it but he was contained to his yard for the rest of the summer.
J.YarbroughAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6073231987777520786.post-60610983622801194692010-04-11T21:09:18.071-04:002010-04-11T21:09:18.071-04:00I have 2 dogs that I walk on leashes and they are ...I have 2 dogs that I walk on leashes and they are not allowed to stop and sniff the area to do their business until I tell them it's okay. I wait until we are at the farm land/non-residential area for that and I still pick it up. On occasion, my little one can't wait and so I have no choice but to stop, however, we're never even close to the front door and really, residue or not, it's by the road so it shouldn't matter (I do pick it up remember) since there's other yuckies anyway... having said that, my other neighbour lets her 3, sometimes 4 huge dogs roam our neighbourhood and poo wherever they please and it's rotten since my one dog is fearful (little) and they come running at us. Now I know them and they're super sweet, but when I didn't, I wrangled to freaking out dogs, 1 wee baby and 2 little kids and try to avoid anyone getting hurt... it was pathetic. I think it's just rude to have your dogs be able to go wherever they want. Just my 2 cents though. Having said that, accidents happen and the odd time is forgiveable! You are lucky she picks it up, but that's all she does, she doesn't sanitize the area. If she spends so much time with her precious pooch she should maybe devote some of that time to properly training it. Dogs should be curbed to use the bathroom when walked in a residential neighborhood. Save the extension leash for the park. But my tolerance may be partly because my dog is *extremely* picky about doing his business-- he won't do it on our lawn, period (we wonder if this was a trained habit before we got him), he really won't do it anywhere else either until he has found The Perfect Place, and even then we have to pray that no small noise occurs to distract him. So sincere apologies to any houses that may be on our walk route-- but if my dog starts his business-doing pacing ritual, as long as it's on grass, I am not about to stop him. I will do my very best to clean up, though!

And isn't it nice to be the human, so your bathroom habits aren't a discussion topic? ;-)Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12896307574385540630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6073231987777520786.post-65978912387498680862010-04-02T16:52:06.006-04:002010-04-02T16:52:06.006-04:00I think it would be better if she'd leash up h...I think it would be better if she'd leash up her dog to go closer to the street, but as long as she's cleaning it up, I guess there's not a whole lot you can say. :sAmanda @ Serenity Nowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16483017563206007698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6073231987777520786.post-40280121843770225522010-04-02T16:20:06.766-04:002010-04-02T16:20:06.766-04:00I'm thinking that she's one of many, many...I'm thinking that she's one of many, many others like her!Liz Mayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13960276167677132860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6073231987777520786.post-37910082720944172932010-04-02T15:35:12.898-04:002010-04-02T15:35:12.898-04:00Ehh, I don't think it's a big deal.
