You need contrast, b...I would paint the wood white. You need contrast, bold contrast if the walls are dark. There are a lot of really great fabrics available right now with nature inspired themes that are sparse. They are not an all over crazy pattern. Many are white fields with black, yellow, red, acid green and purple accents. I would keep the upholstery fairly simple and add the pop with pillows that are loud. You don't want to take away from the beautiful damask, but a solid color just wouldn't do it justice. You got yourself quite the treasure. <br />I think a creamy white upholstery would be fantastic! Maybe with a textural pattern, nothing too overpowering. You don't want to take over those fantastic drapes. I think the frame would be beautiful either stained a dark shade or painted black and distressed.
