Breakfast was cooked, served, and cleaned up by my husband. (The double breakfast meat is a guy thing, but I was willing to go for it.) I requested NO breakfast in bed this year since I think it's awkward and lonely up there by myself and they obliged.
Next, they put on my favorite movie and gave me a much-needed Spongebob break. Romantic comedy always tops my list and I laughed and cried my way through 50 First Dates.
Thank you, family, I love you.
Now, on to my CAbi party! I had lots of food and drinks...
Mini cupcakes (mocha, lemon, chocolate/peanut butter, vanilla, red velvet)
Veggies and Dip
Chocolate covered grapes
I bought some great outfits:
And, I got to hang out with some of my best friends, without any kids or husbands around! They were banned to the baseball field and later upstairs while we all ate, drank, and tried on clothes. If we had suddenly started doing each other's hair and make-up, I would have sworn I was at a slumber party!
So, all in all, turning 29 (again) wasn't half bad. Thanks for all the birthday and Mother's Day wishes. I hope you, too, had a lovely weekend.
