upon the friend
"he looks so old"
imagines
rolls reversed
so sad,
a waste
time marches on
for husband
through new eyes
sees his life
thankful
kiss those boys
live your life
eat dessert first
"he looks so old"
imagines
rolls reversed
so sad,
a waste
time marches on
for husband
through new eyes
sees his life
thankful
kiss those boys
live your life
eat dessert first
play catch with me
feel the sun
don't hold back...
don't hold back...
Thanks for sharing your poem with us. :)
ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaand here come the tears again.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about the "whys" very much, but The Hubster has been loving on all of us more this past week. He's clearly grabbing onto life when faced with death.
And I'm calling the dr. this afternoon to make him an appointment for a physical.

Sorry u lost a friend so young. Sometimes it takes that to realize just how lucky we are.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could take your sorrow away.......
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. This kind of thing is a reminder to us all.
ReplyDeleteIt's always sad when someone passes away prematurely.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about this for years - and when it's my time, I just hope I know, so I can say goodbye.
