Leftover Popcorn? Why don't you, Wednesday

I have this weird thing about saving popcorn. Somehow my movie theater talked me into buying this big bucket that I can refill each trip for $3.50. Bargain right?

Well, I can't eat that much popcorn! I come home with about this much after each ladies night:

Cold popcorn is not too great. I drizzle white chocolate over it then sprinkle with nuts, chocolate chips, M&M's...whatever I can find!

Then we have a sweet and salty treat the next day.

Try it, you'll like it!

  5. Looks and sounds good, thanks!! I should post a recipe that we love to make with leftover popcorn. It has melted butter, brown sugar, salt and real maple syrup that you drizzle all over the popcorn and then bake it for an hour. YUM!

  8. I adore movie popcorn. I know it's not very good for me, but I really love it. But I never would have thought to save it and make a fresh treat out of it! Brilliant, Jennifer.

  9. Good tip!! Old popcorn is so icky by itself...adding some M&Ms--all better!

  11. I LOVE this idea!! However, my birds are going to be rather sad--I always give them the leftover popcorn. They are so conditioned that when they see the bucket they start screaming and won't stop until they get their treat! I will have to sneak it in now. Thanks for the idea. Trudy

  12. I have to ask? How much was the bucket? 3.50 to take is a good deal.

  13. Also, do you melt white chocolate or have some type of liquid white chocolate around. Great idea! I would have never thought about that in a million years. It would have gone in the trash. Talented and Savvy, my friend.

  16. I love this idea! Since my kids go to the movies more often than I do, they bring me the freshly refilled bucket! I am a lucky mom... now I can get two treats out of it! Thanks, Theresa xoxo
