Loving Pledge

So, you know how the old standbys from your cleaning routine kind of get ignored and stop seeming so great after awhile? Well, a few weeks ago I had some guys in repairing the seams in my granite in my kitchen and they told me to use Pledge to clean my granite! I was like "What?!? Pledge?!? It's for wood, dummies!"

So, I did. Then I kept doing it for awhile before I told you about it...just wanted to be sure. It. Is. Awesome.

Then I thought to myself, "Self? If Pledge could clean/shine my granite all this time without me knowing, what else might it do? So, I read the back of the can and saw "Did you know Pledge is also great for a clean shine on stainless steel, leather, marble, granite?"

I just started spraying and crossed my fingers! I tried my marble mosaic table:

It worked! I used to have to wax and polish this thing every 3 months! (Clearly, I'm unable to pick up newspapers for photo ops...or the vacuum hiding behind the table. Oops. And, yes, my kids' "artwork gallery" is scotch taped to the glass on my back doors.)

I tried my Sink Cleaning Routine ending with Pledge, it was awesome. I tried my quick sink routine using only Pledge. Also awesome:

I used it on my slate inlay coffee table and The Big Guy's leather recliner too!

So, I'm in love with Pledge again. There, I've said it. I'm not getting paid to write this and I didn't receive free Pledge to write this. I just had a can $3.50 Pledge under my sink that I've ignored for too long and am betting you do too. Pull that bad boy out and shine up the joint before the Hubs gets home then he just might take you out to dinner for your hard work!

Tutorial Tuesday is jammin' people! Head over to check it out!

  1. Who'd a thunk it?!? Pledge in the sink--that's crazy talk lady! I'm actually going to have to go do my dishes now to give that a try (thanks a lot ;))

  2. Sweet. I had no idea. I'm going to have to try it. And really, isn't the smell great? Makes someone noticed you cleaned something!

  3. Thanks for the tip! I am constantly cleaning fingerprints off my stainless steel fridge and more often than not I am left with a fridge full of streaks!

  4. That's cool about the leather. We have a leather sofa that is a pain in the butt to clean. I'm going to have pull out my pledge (or my endust) when I get home.

  5. This is embarrassing, but the cabinets under my sink are so cluttered, I'm not even sure there is Pledge down there. Going to check!

  6. The time you talked about spraying Pledge in the vents when you (didn't feel like) didn't have time to clean still cracks me up.
I run out of time for (don't feel like) cleaning A LOT it seems. This little trick has helped me out QUITE a bit.

  7. I love the things that pop up on your blog! LOL I'll be trying this on my leather chair!

  8. I had no idea!!!
I am totally going to add Pledge to my shopping list. My counters and all the leather furniture thank you.

  9. I have to admit, after using pledge, getting it on my hardwood floors and nearly breaking my back trying NOT to fall, I may just have to pull it out again to attack some leather :)

  10. Aw man, I don't even think I have any Pledge. I'll have to get some though. Sometimes the classics are the way to go I guess!

  11. NICE SHARE - nice to be able to whip through a room and multitask and be lemon fresh when you're done. Ha!

  12. Clever, clever! you're so sparkly :)

    Bee happy x
    Have a delicious day!

  13. Ok you sold me! I have a can I will give it a try!

  14. @Wendy What a great comment.

I'm the one who cleans at our house. And yes, Pledge is a life saver.

  15. i read your blog, and i looked at my countertop which was pretty dull looking. tried the pledge trick and now is sparkly and fabulous ! thanks a lot!!

  16. random tip I came across once that works really well in a pinch..... olive oil on stainless steel.

Tell me what you think!
