Garland Ain't Just for Christmas, Charlie Brown!
Do you have an empty spot you need to fill? A blank canvas that needs coziness? Whip out the garland, baby! Do you see how my little things are just hanging out up there in limbo on top of the mantle? Are you sick of this picture yet? Is this a lot of questions to open up a blog post with? Did I just end a sentence with a preposition?!?
Look how cozy they look now, all nesty in the long needled garland with big pine cones...ahhh, love it.
Sigh...

When you first said garland, I have to admit that I couldn't even imagine that it would look good. But in the words of Randy what's-his-name, "DOG! You worked it out!" I REALLY love it. And, no, I don't watch too much American Idol. :)
ReplyDeleteWell done! When you first said garland, I immediately thought Christmas or way too cutesy country---your's is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI have actually incorporated a strand of garland in a display I have, but without lights....love how the lights look...will re-do! Thanks for the idea,

ReplyDeleteAnd, that reminds me, I have a large bag of large and teensy tiny pine cones that we snagged from pretty much every conifer in the neighborhood last autumn.
(I meant to do something with them - never did. Maybe it's not too late! I mean, there's still TONS of snow on the ground here...)
You and your giant fabulous mantel, ugh.
