Usually, I have a little bugger crop up the night before some event with either my husband's co-workers or , God-forbid, one of my husband's ex-girlfriends in attendance. I don't usually have a tube of Oxy around and I've learned it isn't necessary.
So, next time you have a sudden zit surface -
Why don't you...Zap your zit with toothpaste?
Just ordinary, old-fashioned, white toothpaste (the blue gel won't work). Just dab it on before bed and you will be good to go in the morning!
There is plenty of time to link up with Tutorial Tuesday this week - scroll down and join the fun!
.
Agreed! Tried and true it has always worked for me!
ReplyDeletethanks
Thanks for the tip! :) I am 31 and still get zits too. Drives me nuts! I will definitely try this.
ReplyDeleteI am happy to say that I am well into my 40's and the zits have stopped. Unfortunately the wrinkles have taken over.
ReplyDeleteMy 14 yr old son had toothpaste on a few spots last night.
Use it all the time...well, not ALL the time. But when one pops up, I go to bed with a minty fresh face ;)
ReplyDeleteMy sister always swore by that method. Didn't work too well on me, but I have super sensitive skin. I thought with age, I should be exempt from that skin stuff, but I'm not immune either. :s
ReplyDeleteI have had worse skin in my late 20's than I ever had as a teen, what gives?? I am going to have to give the toothpaste a try.
ReplyDeletethe toothpaste doesn't work for me but apple cider vinegar works wonders:)
ReplyDeleteOkay, first it's the frosting sandwiches and now it's the same skin issues . . . this is the quote I said to my doctor last week, "I'm 33, and I'm sick of looking in the mirror at my zits and feeling like I'm 16." Never tried toothpaste though. It's worth a shot.
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny!! Love this post. I'm 39 and still get the hormonal zits now and again. Too bad wrinkle cream doesn't help them - I have plenty of that! I forgot about the toothpaste trick!
ReplyDeletei also think it is so unfair... you think someone would have told you that pimples & wrinkles are not exclusive of each other! oh well... i guess it is up to us to pass that tidbit on!
ReplyDeleteYour so funny! I just read your profile and laughed! A good way to start the day!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are in your 30s? You don't look a day older than 20.
ReplyDeleteAt 39 {there! I said it!}, I suffer with breakouts...luckily no age spots though {yet!}
ReplyDeleteThe toothpaste unfortunately doesn't work for me, but using good 'ole Cetaphil has kept the flareups to a bare minimum.

mmm I heard of that remedy but never tried it... suppose I'll keep that tip tucked away at the back of my mind whenever I get into a zitty situation.
ReplyDeleteWorks like a charm....I still get pimples and that is what I use.
ReplyDeleteapparently using toothpaste makes the skin dry and irritated...but if it works for you guys...
ReplyDeleteI've heard of this tip, but I've never tried it because I use a gel toothpaste...oh well, it didn't kill me when I was a teenager to have a pimple...I guess it won't kill me now ;o)
ReplyDeleteDo you have any idea how up close we can get with that photo ??????
ReplyDelete;-)

I'm in my 30s and currently have a pretty gross breakout happening. This morning my son asked me if i had chicken pox.
ReplyDeleteFor reals???! Never heard of that one...but an old roommate taught me to patch nail holes with it!

ReplyDelete10 years ago, my sister-in-law got married. 2 nights before the big day she was....well...lets just say quite minty fresh ;) The day of the wedding? Blemish free and gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comment on my blog! I meant to comment on this post yesterday but forgot -- I just want to say that it's cosmically unfair that a person (say... me.) should have to deal with acne and wrinkles at the SAME TIME. So I appreciate any tips you can dole out ;)
ReplyDeleteHey good idea! I've been using Neutragena stuff for years and it works great. I shall have to try it out in a pinch. Oh, and you still get them weeeellll into your 40's, too. :(
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! I can't believe you do that, especially since it's the same thing I do... and it DOES work!
