This $2 package of smoke bombs entertained my boys for an hour this weekend. Money well spent!

DeleteMost places sell them around 4th of July (Target, Walmart..) so my kids stock up with saved allowance. You might be able to order online. It's nice because they don't explode, just let off a nice long stream of colored smoke.
