50 Shades of Gray in Disguise
While reading 50 Shades, I was a little self-conscious if I had the book out in public. Yeah, I'm an adult and I can read what I want...but it invited a little too much public discussion when people noticed the cover.
So, I cut some scrapbook paper to size and attached it to the cover with spray adhesive.
You can follow directions to make the stick permanent or temporary.
You won't tell, will you?

Okay, I'm sitting here with a tummy ache as I write this because I am, apparently, unable to control myself. I ate so many of this new c...
You're funny :) Of course, I read it on the Kindle, so I didn't have to worry about it.
ReplyDeleteI might have to give in and see what all the fuss is about! But this is cute - I could do that with quite a few books to make them more bookcase-worthy!
ReplyDeleteI just started reading it and I might have to do this. Great idea! I was telling hubby last night that the book draws you in and I can't put it down.... and that it's a good thing we have four boys because I would not want my daughter (if I had one) to ever read it until she was in a loving secure relationship. Double standards, you bet.... but I still am liking the book. :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA! That's too funny! I read it on my e-reader, so nobody could tell... ;)
ReplyDeletefunny! cute idea!
ReplyDeleteI busted out laughing when I saw this in my reader and had to pop on over to tell you that I busted out laughing! I have not read it though...and with 200+ people on the wait list at the library, it might be awhile, and it means I'll be using the temporary adhesive :-)

ReplyDeletehaha- no I won't tell :) Such a cute idea though. I think I'm going to do this with a few used books before I read them so they seem 'new'...lol
ReplyDeleteNo need to be embarassed just b/c your reading mommy porn..thats what we call the books ;) and I have read all 3 -great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis made me laugh so hard... since it´s exactly what I was yearning for these last days, I actually considered sewing a coverlet for them!
ReplyDeleteGood thing is, I live in Germany, read the books in English, and not many people yet know what books these are.
And I love Danielles expression - mommy porn! Awesome!
If I had known what this book was about before I read it, I SHOULD have read it with a cover!! ( ha ha) I'm on the last 20 pages of Fifty Shades of Grey and would love to be in a book club to discuss this one!!
ReplyDeleteI should have done this. I kept the books at work and read them during down times and breaks. Reading them again!
