I didn't have a team in the Superbowl, just a deep, intense dislike toward one of the purple teams who shall remain nameless. So for me, the Superbowl was all about the food and the commercials. We settled down with wings, hot pretzels, and homemade nachos Sunday night (did you know The Today Show had a segment on how to make nachos on Friday...whaaa???). We watched commercials, routed against purple, and watched Beyonce (the Big Guy pronounces her name "Boy-ance") shake her money maker until the lights went out.
Anyhoo, I'm not going to say what my favorite commercial (neeeigghhh!) was, I don't want to skew the results of this unofficial poll and saddle you with my own feelings. But I'm dying to know your favorite horse - I mean commercial! So feel free to pop a beer and gallop on over here to share your fave Superbowl Commercials! Heck, tell me the one's you hated too!
It's Feedback Friday...
What was your favorite commercial of Superbowl 2013?
What commercial did you NOT like this year?
Being from a farming family, I loved both the farmer one and the horse hug. Both spoke to my heart! Have a great day! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteWhen that horse ran back to search for his guy I just felt like I could cry! I've never watched a beer commercial that made me cry and I'm severely ALLERGIC to horses! Go figure :)
DeleteI liked the old folks from the home going out on the town. I think it was a car commercial.
ReplyDeleteYes! Taco Bell! You're right, that one was awesome :)
DeleteI totally laughed at the Taco Bell commercial......they say everything comes full circle ~ sneak out in the early years and again in the later :) I thought there were so many random commercials though. Every time my group of friends couldn't figure out what the heck the commercial was for, we'd just randomly call out the make and model of a vehicle. Oh and the "Go Daddy " one was disgusting. My friend's young son kept laughing and shouting "they're eating each other!" And I must add..... there was NO PURPLE allowed!
ReplyDeleteJust thought of one more... the Dorito one with the dad's playing "tea party" with fancy dresses and make-up
ReplyDeleteYay for no purple! I never want to see two people kissing in such close up again!
DeleteI'm not really interested in sports unless my kids are playing, so really the Superbowl is just an excuse to have friends over and make yummy snacks. I liked all of the funny commercials and I'm not a fan of the overly sexy ones-totally cringe worthy watching w/ the kids. Why is it Superbowl Sunday, and not Superbowl Saturday? We were one tired bunch of Ravens (sorry-we used to live in Maryland) fans early Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteI forgive you for being a ravens fan :)
DeleteHey I have Night Circus for our book club book in mid march then next is going to Major Pettigrew for you!
Awesome-I hope you like Major Pettigrew. A few people thought it was a little slow, but I was utterly charmed. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Night Circus too.
DeleteJennifer -- I'm with you! Having had horses from the moment I had my own home and back yard -- the Budweiser commercial brought tears to my eyes... gosh they are special animals...
