Resolutions - Feedback Friday

Are you a resolution kind of person?  I tend to fall off track with diet and exercise during the holiday months, so usually my resolution is to get back to my routine before December hit.  Oh, and to clean the house more...yeah...fun.

And to stop making stupid mistakes with Tutorial Tuesday in regards to forgetting to post, forgetting to put the link up in, etc...

What resolutions did you make this year?

  1. I'm not really good at resolutions because I have very little faith in myself to make long-term changes. Every so often I try and set challenges for myself, that are more fun. We are getting our Dave Ramsey on, and trying to keep a written budget for the first time in our marriage. I have run exactly 1.5 miles since my marathon and pretty much eating whatever I want, so I really should try and set some sort of health goal or I am going to grow out of all my clothes and have to budget myself some new clothes:)

    1. That cracks me up that you ran a marathon then stopped running cold turkey! That sounds like something I would do! Ha!
I would love to get a on a budget - I don't think I'm disciplined enough but it would be so good for us.

  2. I'm not a big resolution person. I am always setting little goals instead of one (or more) big one for the year. Although, I keep telling myself to drink more water, so I guess that could be my resolution....

    1. I swear I resolve to do that all the time and never do it! Okay, we need to drink more water. That's a good one.

  3. I don't do resolutions anymore, but do think that January is a good time to do a "reset". After all the holidays, I like to try and get back to better habits. You know the ones, drink more water, exercise more, etc. I no longer try to make my self stick to some rigid schedule because life comes along and gives me a good slap on the back of the head to let me know that I am not in total control, lol.

    1. I kind of feel the same way, it's almost never successful to make some huge resolution. Then I end up feeling worse when I don't follow through!

  4. I don't do resolutions but I do goals. My goal for 2014 is to run one race per month, whether it's a 5k or a half marathon (eek! signed up for my first in April!). I'm signed up for a 5k next weekend so the year is starting out right.

  5. My word for the year is "challenge". I never keep resolutions but I'm going to try & challenge myself this year!

  7. I don't do well with resolutions so quit making them years ago....I do have a yearly goal though that I started 4 years ago and that is each new year by the end of it to be 10 pounds lighter. I only missed the goal once but I have gone from 192 down to 166 since 2010.
This year I have added the 52 week money challenge to my goals which is off to a great start.
Third goal is to walk many, many kms. This isn't working too well for me as the 1st week I did walk 7km then nothing since. This idea must need some rethinking.
