Tutorial Tuesday with The Magic Brush!

It's Tutorial Tuesday - your place to link up your tutorials for fun and prizes. You can find my weekly tutorial (Homemade Cleaning Products) HERE. Let's meet this week's sponsor...

Meet Jennifer from The Magic Brush, a wife, mother, and artist:

I began to stalk Jennifer several months ago after I saw her work online and fell absolutely in love with her faux finishes. This girl ROCKS and she shows us all her secrets! Walls, dressers, tables, whatever...trust me, after checking out this blog, you will find yourself scanning dumpsters for junk so you can get your "magic brush" on!

Just look at some of these A.Maz.Ing. projects:

In addition to sharing her latest projects, she will teach you how to

Makeover a Chandelier in 30 Minutes

How to Create Textured Stencils

Or, How to Paint a Ceiling Medallion

And on top of all that, the girl has time to run marathons! I love the bit of inspiration she wrote on her hand:

Jennifer has an amazing prize for us today - A custom painted Antique Framed Chalkboard similar to the chalkboard frame she painted for her own kitchen. The one up for grabs today is created from an antique picture frame she rescued just for you:

  4. I LOVE that tree in the corner! Awesome! I can't wait until we have a house to do that to. We thought we'd found one last weekend...but then we discovered about 40K worth of plumbing and foundation work it needed...so we're passing on that one. Unfortunately it's the ONLY house in town for sale...so we'll be renting until something decent opens up.

  8. LOVE the Magic Brush - she has talent that I only can dream about.

My favorite Jennifer post is when she fessed up to painting her beautiful chalkboard John Deer Green - it secretly made me happy cause doesn't it feel good to know that even with all of that talent she still has oops. Not nice of me, but just glad to see that even the pros screw it up every now and then!

  11. I like the post about Momma has a new Chandy! New to reading the blogs and am enjoying learning many things. I can't wait to try my hand at painting furniture. I am just a little scared that the results won't be what I am looking for, but ah, that is right it is paint and can be repainted. Soon I will try paint and glaze. Thank you for sharing!

  19. The Magic Brush is a cool site. I laughed when she said that of course she offers advertising because the kids need to go to college. Don't we all face that!

  20. There are so many great posts. How am I supposed to choose? But, I like the old end table you turned into a beautiful black one. I have that exact one in my basement waiting to have something done with it so this post inspired me to do something about it.

  24. Okay, that's not an easy thing to do! My favorite Magic Brush post????? The woman is awesome. What she can do with an itty bitty shaving cream brush (think that's what it was). That brings me to one of her latest posts, the chandelier. FANTASTIC! LOVE IT! Now PLEASE come to my house and do this for me. LOL

Fantastic chalkboard. PERFECT for my studio!!!
